Ocala, located roughly 40 miles from Gainesville, is home to about 63,000 residents.

This is almost $130,000 cheaper than the median home sale price in Florida of $419,500.

This is nearly $160,000 lower than Floridas median home sale price.

One thing to keep in mind is that home prices in June 2024 were up 2.4% in Gainsville.

While this is a small jump, it is getting more expensive.

Lakeland

Lakeland, located about 30 miles from Tampa, has roughly 112,000 residents.

This is also a decrease of almost 4% year over year.

The average home in Lakeland sells for about 3% below list price.

However, home prices in Fort Myers were down 8.2% in June 2024 compared to last year.

That means theyre gradually becoming more affordable.

Poinciana, located just outside Orlando, is a smaller town of under 70,000 residents.

The average home in Poinciana sells for about 2% below list price.

Spring Hill

Spring Hill is located about 40 miles from Tampa and has 113,600 residents.

This can give you alittle extra negotiating power.

Pine Hills

Pine Hills is only 6 miles from Orlando and has just over 66,000 residents.

There are many affordable cities to choose from in Florida.
