Today, I want to walk you through my six-stepretirement planning process.
Defining your retirement goals is the critical first step because it sets the direction for the entire plan.
I often ask my clients to take some time to envision their retirement.
This step is all about introspection.
Without clear goals, its hard to measure success or even know what youre planning for.
when you obtain a clear vision, we can start to build a plan that aligns with your aspirations.
This is where we start to lay the groundwork for your retirement plan.
I wont sugarcoat it this step can be cumbersome.
But its also crucial.
This is where the realfinancial planningwork begins.
Using the information weve gathered, Ill design a plan tailored to your unique situation and goals.
Developing the plan can take some time because its important to get it right.
Step 4: Present the Plan
Once the plan is developed, its time to present it.
This can happen in person or over Zoom, depending on whats most convenient for you.
I believe in providing more than one option whenever possible.
Abeautifully designed retirement planis worthless if it just sits in a drawer or on your machine.
This step is where the rubber meets the road.
Step 6: Monitor the Plan
Retirement planning isnt a one-and-done deal.
Life changes, and so should your plan.
As your financial planner, Ill regularly monitor your progress and update the plan as needed.
